Raid 6 allows up to 2 drive failures (don't need to know this for the test but it's helpful), Raid 5 only allows 1 Disk Failure, so your only option is to replace both the drives and perform a backup.

Not true.... At maximum it tolerates 1 disk failure. It is a parity / redundancy raid setting. It is able to correct data corruption to a point or survive after a single drive failure but can only rebuild data when 2 drives survive.

Aanndrew - exactly. That's the point. That's why you'd have to restore from a backup.

Raid 5 requires minimum 3 disks .At its basic configuration,it tolerates maximum 2 disks failure.

If two drives failed, then all data is DONE. restore the data from backup, it should be raid 50. Someone can explain this? Please.
